Fabryka EBC Brakes w Bristolu w Wielkiej Brytanii, należąca do EBC Brakes, wykorzystała nową ekologiczną technologię do opracowania klocka hamulcowego, który charakteryzuje się niezwykle wysokimi poziomami tarcia, a jednocześnie zapewnia dobre zachowanie podczas użytkowania na ulicy, z silnym efektem hamowania od samego początku, gdy hamulec jest zimny. Wyścigowy rodowód zastosowanego materiału gwarantuje również skuteczne zatrzymywanie w temperaturach przekraczających 1400 F, czyli znacznie powyżej maksymalnych temperatur występujących podczas intensywnego hamowania, holowania lub zjazdów. Testy zimowe w Ohio na pięciu popularnych lekkich ciężarówkach pokazały nam skuteczność hamowania na zimno w najgorszych mokrych i zimnych warunkach, gdzie wiele hamulców o wysokiej wydajności w ogóle nie wykazałoby dobrego efektu hamowania. Są to więc klocki o niezwykle szerokim zakresie użyteczności. Nowy materiał Extra Duty na bazie granulek węglowych jest również przyjazny dla tarcz, minimalnie pyli i jest bezgłośny, a każdy zestaw jest dostarczany z rewolucyjnymi podkładkami NUCAP, kolejną innowacją firmy EBC.
